Americana Country singer/songwriter and Sonoma County resident, Michael Thomason will be this week’s feature with the Prairie Sun Studios Artist Showcase. From building Studio B and then recording a demo in 1981 that resulted in his first European tour, Michael has been a Prairie Sun regular. His latest single, Old Friends, a duet with Hermann Lammers Meyer recorded last year at PSR, currently holds the #2 spot on the European Country Music Association chart.
Michael continues to tour throughout Europe and the U.S. with his band, and has opened for Tammy Wynette, Emmy Lou Harris, Asleep at the Wheel, Johnny Paycheck and other country legends. En route, Michael also shared the stage with such luminaries as Amos Garrett, Bill Kirchen, Keith Allen, Carl Brouse, Kenny Dale Johnson, Norton Buffalo, Doyle Bramhall and many more. Joining him for this showcase is his longtime right hand and bassist, Don Schmitt.
